You could even demo the tile to save some money.

In some cases this was impossible (foundation elevations for revised flood elevations) or impractical since it would involve almost total demo.

in the Boston suburbs, what is the normal cost for a contractor to demo the kitchen cabinets and install new cabinets.

I can go on, but you get the idea....Here is the average times for what our homes take.1100SQFT - 2500SQFT Cosmetic rehab - Demo, cabinets, counters, mecanicals, paint, roof and flooring and any issues that will need to be addressed with the overall product- 3-4 weeks.

Also consider your complete cost if decide to demo the existing house which will include demo of course but also new water and sewer tap fees for new lots.

@Ryan R.I didn't build the deck, so I don't know how deep that corner support goes, but we plan to demo the deck and rebuild it anyway. 

I am doing a lot of demo work myself to save on costs (I have the time).
