@Stephanie Cortez have you thought about how you’d react to the stress of bad contractors, vacancies, unresponsive PMs, evictions, and bad tenants?

I can't speak to the Maryland market as a NY-native, but for my first house I found it on realtor before my agent haha

I used to try to understand why sellers would do this, but the better way to look at is there are many reasons a seller would do this AND we don't have to think we would react to their situation the same way they would. 

How do the authorities react to It ?

I'm going to make a recommendation here that I think many folks on BP.com will react with *shock* and dismay*: consider a turnkey rental property if it is your first.Candidly, I think we could have bypassed "step 1" altogether (buying local, first).
