The house has been renovated such as new carpet, washer and dryer, stove etc.

maybe put a section on the forum for do it yourselfers . a place someone can go ask question that they are having with a project . maybe some of us have been through . not with purchising houses part lets say how to cut a counter top to repalce a fit in the counter top stove to a regular floor stove and etc...

I have a 3rd floor unit that currently has a kitchen vent above the stove that recirculates air within the house (through the over-the-range microwave).  

Stoves and washers/dryers block access to gas lines and 220V recepticles all the time so what's the difference?

Well, I think I was 20 when that and I was heavily studying it until some crazy girlfriend I had burned it over the stove over an argument after I stormed out of my home.
