But, generally, my thinking is to sell it and find a trustworthy syndicator, where you can park the money for true passive income.

And finding a trustworthy contractor that won’t screw you over isn’t easy either.

Is it reasonable to find property managers that are trustworthy to do short or medium term rentals?

The cons is it can be hard to find trust worthy people or people who care about your investment.

And, more importantly, when remote investors like us depend on the information on their site, if those are not binding or trustworthy, how can we make informed decisions?

I do have to say that in many markets inventory has tightened up, and prices have gone up, making it much more difficult to find truly good deals with reliable and trustworthy turnkey companies.  

Now, I am good friends with this individual and I know that he is trustworthy, and in addition, he has funds (and his reputation) in the game, so I am not worried about getting screwed over on this deal, otherwise I wouldn't have done it.
