In the lease agreement, it states that a tenant must get a written permission if "changing the amount of heat or power normally used on the property as well as installing additional electrical wiring or heating unit." so I have rights to ask the tenant to pause her space heater.

I don’t think there is a reason too, and like the saying goes, it’s probably better to ask for forgiveness than Permission.  

Has anyone gotten permission to do that in writing?

I’m active duty Air Force (CMSgt/E-9)…In some cases it’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission, but this is not one of them.

And I am the Director, so if I want to work from home, I have to ask myself for permission.

Give yourself permission to say no or walk away when the situation doesn't mesh well with who you are at your core!
