Some stunningly ill-informed advice being offered on this one, but @Jason Allen's input is pretty solid.

Asking for $10 in this situation just seems too nickel and dining.

For the short term (as I don’t promote scarcity mindset), adjust some spending on travel, entertainment, dining out, gifting, etc.3.)

I know there has been so much pain in the commercial and dining world but I would never bet against NYC. 

My resident assistant job right now during the school year gives me free housing and meals at the dining hall, but I get no income and by contract I am not allowed to obtain another job or else I get fired.

Frisco is also home to many brand new developments for shopping/dining, and it is the relocation zone for many large companies that are looking to north Texas for a cheaper option for their headquarters!

You don't have to own a lot of expensive toys or dine at the finest restaurants to feel content.
