What I mean is, even if you are occupying one of your properties, if it is appreciating, it is still making you money vs paying someone else's rent on their property that is appreciating.I think there is a time and place for considering a rental vs a purchase, but it would be a very unique situation or market to make sense from an investing standpoint.....say if you had a crystal ball that told you that in 6 months the market would tank....THEN probably a good idea to dump everything and hunker down in an appartment for a year or 2
