I'd mentioned prior that I have my license, but to be honest, my teacher sucked so I really don't know anything about real estate.

I was told my former real estate teacher to stay away from wholesale deals. 

My partner and I are looking to lease and sub-lease homes to single students and teachers in our area.

I was a 3rd grade teacher for 12 years and interviewed tons of firms, models and brokerages.

The real teacher is experience, but having the theoretical knowledge to apply is better than figuring it all out as you go.I would not try and start with building from the ground up.... 

It's ok to share what your doing, but make sure he remains the teacher in the meeting, with a very eager student.

What an inspiring story.Would you be willing to give me a "how to" on doing what you did with your 1st investment in apartments.Myself and my wife are literally just starting to learn this.We would love to be landlords, invest, or just get a better understanding of where to begin.Need a good teacher!

Dear BP Friends,We are seriously considering signing a lease with a tenant who is a teacher from Spain.He is here for a one year contract teaching at a local elementary school which we know and respect.We understand there is not a way to run a credit check and background check as he is just recently entered the U.S.We understand he will provide his new ss# and passport.However our real estate agent tells us an NTN check may not reveal any useful data, as there will be no previous addresses or history in the U.S. as he only arrived here last month.
