Thanks for your input.I previously did a post on this issue as a warning to other buyers.

This not only adds an unexpected financial burden for frequent battery replacements but also leaves the reliability of these locks in serious doubt.What compounds the frustration is the absence of any low-battery indicators or warning systems.

Sunday night there were 60mph winds storm warning.

Give a warning and give a time limit to fix the act.

We looked at some places on the island, our agent didn't tell us "never buy anything there," but he did warn us of a couple things. 

Sending them to collections puts the monies owned on all 3 credit reporting agencies which is intended to put pressure on them to pay their bill AND warn any other potential creditors of their past.

This is the ONLY warning you will receive and this is not up for discussion.
