Two weeks later I stopped by the unit (was passing by and decided to take a look) and found that someone was using the shower and leaving food and clothes in the house with visible intent to return.

In fact, given the start up costs, the best way to make a profit as an MTR is to earn the continuing support of the property owner served.  

My opinion is anyone that has to ask where/how to find off-market (underground) properties is better served by purchasing off the MLS.

You could lease part for food service or coffee shop and some retail space, a small health club, massage. 

I believe both active and passive investments serve a role and that at some point passive investments look much more appealing.  

We have a few companies that serve Akron, OH.

And it also means to attack everything like it's your Mom's, like it matters, truly matters, because if you only care about a paycheck you are not serving your looking to be served.
