Maybe it is just my perception, but since this COVID thing started, people have been far more disagreeable on BP, so it is nice to see a back and forth that hasn't devolved. 

Changing the neighborhoods perception of it can be challenging depending on the story.

But a good 1031 professional is going to not only be an instant resource for you to relay questions and answers to but is also going to raise investors perception of you as a competent professional in the field.Even an experienced broker is probably not going to know all the ins and outs. 

The view from people who do it every day as investors skews the perception of h9w the general public think, feels and fears the process.

Ive also seen some motion sensors that just blast a really loud siren when sensing motion and if I tell the neighbors to call the police if they hear it, that can cause a distraction enough to make people leave? 

This is my perception and I am a newbie; I would appreciate your feedback on this. 

Avoid making any decision based on your tenant's age and your perception of what accommodations they might need or you may be guilty of age discrimination or ADA non-compliance.I try to be proactive with this. 

@Cody Merkes - somehow there is a perception that you have to gratuate into bigger asset classes. 

While I’m confident I can sell it, it’s a highly desirable area, I worry about the perception of fsbo driving away qualified candidates, managing multiple offers, logistics of coordinating option money etc.

I really think that "anywhere you go you'll be let down" was the most accurate and helpful advice I got, because you go into it with just perceptions and the reality is often very different.
