not sure how much i should be worrying about the fridge, i mean its new, under warranty and the least of my concerns right now but its obvious they'd like to turn a dispute over forging my sig, regaining their kids custody under falsified docs, the gainfully employed parent quitting her job the day after i confirmed employment, and the sudden inability for owner(and his housemate) to have quiet enjoyment of his own home, into a dispute over new fridge that only the freezer works, and into the need for area rugs to be provided by owner.i'll be working on a lease violation notice tonite to plaster on their door tomorrow. my only holding out is they are offering to pay more rent and i know once the violation notice goes on the door, they are likely to just enjoy the 'free ride' for however long it last and likely to brew up crazy hardship stories being the stellar actors they've been thus far!
