Some people may think it is those with below market rents but i question if this is true as these tenants will now get max allowed rent increases Would they have gotten such large rent increases in the absence of rent control.

Thus, they are more apt to be torn down since they are in central locations and larger projects can replace them.With regards to the general BP poster or reader, doubt most of us are the $100mm to $300mm investor range to consider taking advantage of these properties.Looks like you're in California. 

@Itay Heled  larger properties are not something that is popular with the furnished finder searchers from what I have seen.

However, a larger home may consider another can or two in certain locations based on proximity to the kitchen or bathroom.

I was able to replenish emergency fund money I had to dip into for furnishing, was able to pay off a hot tub, was able to replace 2 garage doors and paid for a larger repair this year.

With that said, a lot of people take the cost-benefit, but no one can argue it's a smart choice, just a frugal one.
