There is too much inefficiency and gray area when you start to commingle material/work responsibility.To cover your initial question, our standard payment schedule includes 5 equal payments - 20% down, 20% x 3 at project landmarks specified in each contract (they differ depending on scope of work) and 20% upon project completion.
