He himself bought properties in 80s and in the 90s turned all of the lots into Apt buildings.In other words, the guy was really wealthy and go lucky to be in Williamsburg, one of the highest appreciating neighborhoods in all of America.This is more analogous to the Billionaire Robert Smith who paid off all of the loans for Graduates from Morehouse in his class, including their Parent's loans.Personally, I think if you are going to give Charity, give it to those that are struggling or at least give a Means Test to distribute the money so that you don't give it away to people that really don't need it as much as others that are struggling.Better to donate the money to a good cause than to arbitrarily give it to people whether or not they need it.

I would love to know if anyone knows of any ways those of us who are willing can donate to possibly help with people struggling to pay their rent or any other good ways to help.

To make this "long-winded" story shorter, I bought hundreds of donated vacant parcels that people from "all over the country" that donated "real estate bubble" parcels to Habitat for Humanity.

They will cause the landlords temporary pain, accrue late fees and back rent, and eventually when America reopens, get evicted, sued, and have their credit ruined.In that third case, a minority of landlords are being forced to basically donate free housing to the very worst behaving tenants.

I hope all new york landlords and property owners have contacted their local advocacy groups and donated funds to help fight this ?

Instead of donating hundreds or thousands of dollars to charity or keeping for their families, many landlords are literally choosing to donate the rent to their tenants. 

I remember when anti-religious groups were going to boycott Chik Fil-A for their support of certain candidates, and then religious groups were going to boycott them for not donating to religious groups any more.

However I personally think its pretty cool  Its a target segment of those who are literally risking their lives helping people get through the virus.. in the same way my fellow partners at aheroshome.org are donating a house to a veteran Its just great to see some really awesome things those that are in a position to help are doing !!!..
