Just moved from the Boston area to West Hartford.

All how difficult is it to evict in Hartford under normal conditions? 

@Filipe Pereira I’m looking at Hartford, New Britain, Bridgeport, New Haven as possibilities.

Close enough to make the commute into Hartford or Stamford tolerable.

Metro areas with at least 1 million people and the biggest quarterly increases in purchase originations include Boston, MA (up 75.3 percent); Hartford, CT (up 52.6 percent); San Jose, CA (up 49.8 percent); and our very own Los Angeles, CA (up 43.3 percent).

Add the fact that it's probably the town with the highest crime rate in all of Hartford county (not including Hartford) and you really have a great mix of reasons to stay out of New Britain.

@Kenneth Guy, here are the rates I got quoted from the last time I shopped around for investment property in East Hartford.

We're about to do it on a tenant in East Hartford paying 650 for a 3 bed 1 bath...Inherited tenants, managed by mom & pop...never raised rent in 6 years!
