That one moment in time could make them feel better for the whole day which could translate to how they interact with others friends,family,etc.So I personally believe positive giving by people larger or small can have great impact.

I just thought since financing deals is such a major part of buy and hold investing, and it's also just a fairly broad business major, so there should be enough information in there I can translate to my REI by majoring in finance. 

When I hear the word “creative” I immediately translate that as “I’m too lazy to work really hard and save money, so please tell me there’s another way.”

It is also possible the highest initial cash flow will not translate to the highest total profits when compared.

I do have a ton of knowledge and experience, but at times have not been able to translate that into financial success.  

If I can translate this into real estate I think I could make REAL money doing it..I have done a lot of residential construction work and even built (with family) the house my mother lives in now from scratch..So I can diagnose real estate and repair real estate, I'm pretty confident in that.. 

I agree with your point that board activity has to be balanced with actual economic activity, but for a lot of us board activity has directly translated into $ and very rewarding connections with BP members both online and offline. 

But there is value of self satisfaction that doesn't have a number attached to it and for her she places a high value on it that may not translate to "smart" move but it's her life to live.

A better translation would be, "It's best to calculate everything."

Couldn't that translate to lower property taxes and lower rent and still turn a profit?
