I have been browsing the BiggerPockets forums for a few months now and thought it would be good to introduce myself.

Thanks for becoming a new member here at Biggepockets and I hope you enjoy browsing through all of the threads as well.

You are doing the right thing by browsing these forums and reading books on the topic as a starting point.

And what I have seen when browsing through a lot of the posts, they don't have the decency to respond to any questions.As far as the real estate agents are concerned, most have no clue how to market an investment property so don't know what we mean by financials and they are too lazy to go out and take good pictures and post them. 

I started listening to the BP podcast and browsing posts on the forums and learned a wealth of information.

I would search those and browse through to see peoples thoughts on the matter in different areas.

I know that I will be checking out a lot of properties before jumping onto the first one I see so it wouldn't make sense to bring a contractor to all these homes when I am just browsing with a RE Agent, correct?

@Curt Davis I just browsed both sites about an hour ago and I realized that.

I'm taking a browse at houses in the 150-200k range and looks like almost all of them will need major rehabs.Cosmetic/interior repairs are easy to identify and come up with a ball-park number.
