At my age with no retirement I feel under a great time pressure.So, I am searching all avenues, including Bigger Pockets for education and direction to figure out where my niche will be in this business and I am looking outside the box because the boxes I have opened have either been empty or too full and “complicated”.Happy to meet any and all of you here on Bigger Pockets as I really do believe strangers are just friends I haven’t met yet.

My dad says he first noticed it when there was a random stranger mowing the lawn, when he asked the guy why he was at our house mowing the lawn the guy said "The kid paid me $10 to mow it".  

I'm also introverted so randomly chatting it up with strangers about a topic I don't feel I have much knowledge on sounds like a nightmare lol. 

Although this will be my first one, I am no stranger to the process (I have several years experience in carpentry/construction and I'm a numbers guy with OCD).As I mentioned earlier, I a have limited cash reserves but I make up for it with intangibles and a will to succeed.

So your dad had known this property for 25 years and has "pleaded" with you not to buy it.He probably knows the property better than anyone but here you are asking strangers for their advice?????

Keep that in mind when listening to strangers (including me) on the internet. 

If youre not comfortable introducing yourself and talking to strangers, it makes it much more difficult.

It was family that helped me get my start, it is family and friends I prefer to pay double digit returns to than strangers, and it is family that I have made a ton of money for.I believe it is all about YOU and all recourses, good or bad, are up to YOU.If you always perform and deliver on promises, then there is never any issues.

To me that's like not buying the car of your dream because a stranger told you that he had a bad experience with that same model.

Equity Trust does allow this, in fact, their direction of investment form has an area you fill in where you slect fi the loan is secured or unsecured.Certainly if you market to complete strangers for their IRA funds, you will have a hell of a time getting them to give you tehir retirment funds without any security!
