You need to figure out what works best for you and your unique situation, strengths, weaknesses, availability of time, income, interest level etc and what your long term vision is.

Hey @Trey Hession - You've got about 4-5 solid realtors above that can for sure make your vision come true of owning a duplex in Chicago. 

The mom and pop motels of the past are great investment opportunities IF you know how to manage the properties correctly and know where to look for value-add opportunities.One motel that we have been looking at sparked my interest for an idea very similar to this (airstream park) but my investor client is not interested as he does not see the vision. 

I buy 3-4 properties a month, live here and exclusively buy real estate in the area so I know how important it is to have your plan, vision and team in place

I feel like he is giving you tunnel vision.

@Sylvia Rodriguez  I would have them talk out the vision of the agreement then go to an attorney.
