I spoke to my wife about it and she pointed out how easy it is to sell to these companies when you are needing to unload a property.  

Hi @Stephanie Ro - we have seen more listings lately, in the lower price points a lot of one house landlords are unloading property, but also more residential seller that had been on the sidelines last year - at least here in Milwaukee.

If it was some cheap laminate from another country that might be the cause of the smell....Frank Frank has a point, Lumber Liquidators was recently sued for its laminate having too much formaldehyde in it.  

So much of my time is spent loading / unloading  / and forgetting tools.  

We exchange pleasantries, and she immediately starts unloading on me about how ridiculous my offer is, that I should pay fair market value, and then I interrupted her and asked what she thought FMV.  

For example, the seller for a 14 unit needed to unload and move out of country after spouse passed away. 

. :) I have one I might be able to trade that is soon to be auctioned with the buyer needing to unload.

The families of the estates tend to have the perfect mix of motivation and low price expectations to unload the headache property which they inherited.

I have noticed a handful of properties come on the market for sale that were early fund acquisitions and clearly mistakes that they are just looking to unload.

Dodd, Reid etc see the baggage they can't unload and are running,,,,,,,for the hills, not re-election.
