You'll also probably need to re-install all the baseboard trim/casings to accommodate the new floor level.If the floor is flat (not necessarily level - two different things), get a better mid-price pad & lay carpet.

All it needed was a coat of paint in a few rooms (bedrooms were: pink; two shaded of purple with black trim; red, grey and black) and they'd patched all the holes in the walls (from hanging pictures), so they looked really bad.

Living room/bedrooms/hallway: Ripped out all the carpet, replaced all interior and closet doors, painted walls, ceiling, trim, refinished the original hardwood floors, and installed new blinds.Bathroom: Completely gutted the entire bathroom, had to add a new venting kit and bathroom ceiling light/fan combo.
