We have another emerging opportunity in the area and expect to be seeking accredited investors w/an interest in the Texas market.  

What are some good accredited companies.

It is advisable to do your due diligence and ask about such things as how long have they been in business, are alternative assets their sole focus, are they BBB accredited and rated, are they a regulated financial institution, have they ever been sanctioned by any regulatory bodies, how many accounts and how much in assets do they administer?

Usually you need to be accredited.  

Those I know about outside of 401ks require a relationship, a track record and maybe only accredited investors as partners. 

Contractor - strongly advise you to select a contractor with the accreditation as a Certified 203k Contractor; keep in mind that the contractor does not necessarily dtermine the pricing for the project  (see 203k Consultant info above) but does need to know the different versions of the 203k, payment methods, timelines, paperwork, forms, and processes; definitely don't want to work with a contractor who is going to "wing it" on a 203k.You're only as strong as your weakest link.

I want to do all of this while homeschooling my children and making them into world changers also.

Hi @David Harriman, if you're an accredited investor and depending on how active you want to be you may want to consider getting into a syndication on an apartment or other commercial property.

There are many benefits with being an accredited investor, including access to better investment opportunities.

Right now, many platforms have greater incentive to keep funding projects through accredited investors or with only a limited amount of non-accredited.
