It is very seasonal but does very well in Summer and there are a lot of STR friendly towns.I have considered it however my current goal focuses more on a multi season rental and I am also more familiar with the non beach towns.

We are filling up fast for the 2023 season but I can always squeeze in a few more folks from the bigger pockets family :D 

The husband had a good paying job that had a slow season where he would collect unemployment a few months per year.

The issue I see with your $500 allowance is that in some seasons they will definitely be seeing a big cost.

Rent out in the busy season.  

But I have run zero vacancy for the last 25 years as of Aug 1 unless I build something then I have lease up in the off season.   

That being said they have already moved in, and this is the slow season for renting homes.
