You can overcome your weak areas by partnering with someone who is strong in them or going to work for someone and gain knowledge from them in those areas.

I've gotten better over the years as a property manager and REALTOR just by identifying my weaknesses, researching ways to overcome them, and practicing every chance I get.

If both of you go into the deal knowing that the partnership is unbreakable, both of you will probably work harder to overcome any difference of opinion.
