There are plenty of disadvantages to my structure for someone who requires individual vesting for conventional bank loan qualifications and other will probably argue that the asset protection level is lower than other offshore strategies (true) however I'm a stand up guy and don't run from trouble.Best advise: keep it simple for now and focus on deal flow (and cash flow) until you have something to protect from taxman and the crazy people.

I have the option to go back to school for about 4 - 6 years, with this i have great chances of finding work in Off-shore O&G drilling sites as a medic and more opportunities to have a high paying career i care about.

there was another thread were an investor mentioned he had 10 million dollar loan lined up from off shore they just needed him to put in 10% or 1 million and he was asking on BP how to come up with the million..the funds were to be used to buy distressed assets....I shudder to think how folks think this stuff can be any kind of real.. if you can't borrow it in the states with our lax lending policies you aint getting it anywhere else...

Stick with the world gold standard in a Cook Islands Asset Protection Trust or the hybrid Domestic Component Bridge Trust if you don't have a reason to go purely offshore by using a connecting "migration" clause.

Finally, If someone’s portfolio ever exceeds $1MM in equity/cash at risk it is wise to structure offshore protection.I keep all assets separate from operations.
