This woman thinks something inappropriate was done to her!

(I hope this question isn't inappropriate for this forum; if so, I'll remove it.) 

More importantly the basis of the old property (the profit) is allocated throughout the entire purchase, so selling a part of it could still generate a gain (or an inappropriate loss) which might get questioned. 

The Management company called the same plumbing company that messed up and they stated over the phone that the plumber turned of the water inappropriately which caused the sediments to go everywhere in the building.

Showings aren’t common after a property goes under contract, but there is nothing inappropriate for a seller to allow additional showings and accept backup contracts.

Maybe they did things inappropriately. 

I can only imagine that for someone in the original poster's position that such an investment (private equity with a 25 percent return) would be wildly inappropriate. 

They won't arrive until about a week after she has moved out.She has been contacting me multiple times a day now to say that she really expects to get her full deposit back, saying that it's inappropriate to have "custom color" blinds in a rental so this isn't her fault, etc.  

The tenant is now month-to-month and we're not really concerned about him trying to do anything inappropriate as his track record is OK (besides needing to remove some of his stuff, including an unregistered car, from the yard).

Charging time would most likely be inappropriate.
