Two Reasons: First, because 50M people in this country either work gig jobs or are illegal immigrants, when they lose their jobs or have their hours scaled back, it doesn't show up on official unemployment stats.

I have seen several offers from operators around the country who are offering interest rates of sub 6% for a 30-year fixed mortgage with a 20% down payment required, NO POINTS.

This is what wealthy out of country (many Chinese) who already made lots of money elsewhere do- they like to park their money in class A or B condos.

@Maynhia Stott Also I have not had experience with these 2 but i have heard Iowa is 2 percent per month (24 per annum), and Texas is 25% penalty (that is the highest I know of in  the country). and I dont know if they do anything OTC.

I'd love to buy up some land in the Christmas or Santiago Mountains, but I love hunting for and photographing rare snakes so that's sort of a niche use haha.The Chihuahuan desert and western mountains of Texas are no joke, it is some of the most remote, unpopulated, water-starved, but breathtakingly beautiful country in the entire US.Just FYI it's not that west Texans dislike solar or wind farms... we love money!
