The problem with Orlando in general is that it is such a service based economy due to the tourism and service industry.

Florence has an amazing vineyard, but hasn't really been able to capitalize on tourism just yet. 

Where do you find tourism statistics for your market?

I have a $1300 trailer.Being close to ski resorts, there is a ton of tourism. 

Opportunity exists for aussies investors but what is the loophole is the target for research. 

We're in a rural, resort area so foot traffic is still a real source of leads for us, especially during the tourism season. 

Knowing what I do about the tourism over there, I think you might have better luck at vacation rentals. 

If you are looking for overseas investors and those who buy homes in short-term rental communities, I would suggest marketing specifically towards the tourism industry, through social media, visiting short-term/long-term housing communities, and even reaching out to property management groups. 

The counties make a lot of money from short term rentals via tourism taxes, so compared to other markets there is less regulatory concern.

I am looking at houses near our local mountain where tons of local tourism flows through for winter and summer sports.
