I'm not just looking for general resources, though, I'm looking for things pretty specific. a friend loaned me Rich Dad's / Robert Koyaski's "6 Steps to Becoming a Successful Real Estate Investor." which it got me excited, I was a bit disappointed at the lack of depth.for example, they talk about crunching the numbers being vital to find out what's a good buy. yet they don't talk about what those crucial numbers are and how to calculate a good deal from a bad one.

(have not landed a deal yet). i joined my local REIC,i have a copy of my city's(jacksonville fl) condemd list, studying RE investing books in the library and have been searching and searching for my first wholesale deal (it's only been a few weeks..told you i was new) so i've also been on this website searching through all the post dealing with wholesaling, startup etc. and ran across ryan's link to all his post he made on different subjects. so my question is this ...one of his subjects is number crunching category is about the formula...now i understand his formula. but they all seem to pertain to someone purchasing for fixup and resale. are there any numbers to go by when trying to find wholesale deals?

I've been looking on-line at hard money lenders such as prosper.com, but I'm wondering if we should go back to the bank we borrowed the $30k from - it was a 1 yr interest-only loan - to see if they'll loan us more to finish it (I'm sure they'll extend the term, but that doesn't solve our money crunch).Or do you have other suggestions?
