I helped managed hundreds of units for 7 years and my mom had done it for about 20 years, and never once did we feel threatened to that extent.  

My next door neighbor in another 6 unit building threatens to sue me because my tenants sometimes (not all the time) walk thru his parking lot or smoke while walking thru his lot. 

On top of that, it sounds like you were a responsible landlord and now they're threatening you. 

When I contacted this man and asked how dare he threaten to evict me when we had paid rent he bit off my head told me I am never to call his personal number and to only call the hotel office.

Just like what cell phone companies use when you want to break their service contract.Lots of tenants threaten to sue because people are afraid to face court and they know it.
