Many of the speakers there talked about equity investing and the typical structure seemed to be the following:-  Investor receives 100% of the profit until investment is made back + 8% return- Profits thereafter are split 70%/30% Investor/Buyer until investor makes 12% return- Profits thereafter are split 60%/40% Investor/Buyer until investor makes 16% return- Profits thereafter are split 50%/50%Are these structures typically for flips?

These sort of speakers are allowed to come speak because the people running the meeting get paid by them.

Diverse group of speakers, fun discussion, lots of thoughtful questions, and met a lot of great people.

I attended a networking event with other agents in LA, one of the speakers was from home depot and raved about one of their services called Redbeacon.

Though the monthly speakers are always hawking something, CTREIA is a good place to network, and the next monthly meeting is this coming Monday night.

Also BP folks will have meetups occasionally .. those are mainly to just meet people. .Rarebird has an agenda and guest speakers and in depth subject matter..
