A few of them are lazy, but I don't see (or hear of any) any unscrupulous behavior here upstate.

@Scott Trench I would stay completely out of this going forward if you can avoid it and politely tell the neighbor that you have spoken to your tenant and advised him that his behavior is inappropriate.

The act of showing appreciation neither encourages or discourages a person to change their behavior unless the person wants to change something they are doing on their own accord.

Give you the wherewithal to pursue and achieve your long-term goalsMany investors start off "too hot", and they either overdevelop their first property or they spend their money too fast - either of these behavior will stop you dead in your tracks, and you probably won't even be able to achieve your short-term goals - and you certainly won't have the resources to pursue your long-term goals.

It is next to impossible to find anyone to work here...let alone a " stable of qualified contractors"... we are in a bubble and everyone is too busy...this is why these guys get away with bad behavior
