I suggest you consult with a good real estate attorney in the state where the property is to confirm your legal rights.That written, I don't see doing so would be harmful in anyway, and therefore probably wouldn't be prohibited. 

The benefit becomes too good to give up and making more money only harms your family.

I am no expert on CO2 but I think refining oil into gas pollutes far more and uses more harmful chemicals than reusable batteries ever could.

Implying to new investors that all deals work out this well, I believe is harmful to new investors that don't understand all the hidden risks in real estate.
