., in my circles,  and in Boston,  dabbling in Finance for a couple of months with a couple of investors  isn't going to make Jones Lang & Lasalle  offer me a 6 figure salary as a commercial analyst...    ... but you can say it the other way too: the right education WILL trump experience if you walk out of one of 'those well-known schools' with a well-known degree, and your alternative at the time is dabbling for a couple of months with a couple of investors.

To the flooring it is my guess it was painted with kilz to mask a pet smell at some point in time as it was and still is cheaper to do that and put carpet in then to refinish the floors.Good Luck.

., radon (which is found in nearly all air) is a widespread problem when it can "build-up" (as inside a property) and if that property has problems, then it's likely the greater region does too... the soil under the neighbor's place isn't going to be drastically different in composition, so moving on to the next property only avoids the issue in my opinion.
