They might be able to do whatever the heck they want...I lived in an apartment that did that, and they ended up dropping the monthly price by 40% the next year, because their poor management value for the price had caused a lot of vacancies.Actively look for another option while you still have breathing room.

Of course, the moment she saw it she had breathing difficulties although I swear that was a self induced heart attack, but I wasn't too concerned about that as she only had a $35 copay for any medical treatment.We did recaulk the windows to be safe, and it never came back.
