I've got some skin in the game too, just not enough of my own to kick this real estate journey into another gear.

I have attended a few REIA and similar meetings and felt that they were mainly geared towards Single Family Home investing.

Xavier Wharton , plenty of non-real estate books on the topic and lots of research from Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, etc.However, the content is geared towards managing larger organizations/corporations and I used to read them when I had oversight of 600 people in corporate America.

I own a real estate office geared towards the investor client.

I'm gearing up to make my first purchase and I think that my best move right will be to find a 2-3 bed room single family that I can live in personally and rent out the additional rooms.
