My plan is roughly like this:- rent out the Olympus Cove house for a few years, stockpile income- do repairs and deduct them for tax purposes- in 1.5--2.5 years, move in (it's in my kids' school district)- rent out my Sandy home for additional revenue ($1700-1800/mo)- or, sell Sandy and use proceeds for more investmentsThe worst thing about the deal is I'd have to get an investment grade loan on Jupiter, which is about .25 pts worse than what I could get as a principal residence.

During that time stockpile cash and get educated.

I have an unorthodox profession(professional gambling) that has allowed me to stockpile a great amount of start up capital and I hope to slowly start to transition into real estate to build long term wealth.

It's why I've been refinancing like a mad man and stock piling cash.  

I've been quietly studying and lurking for almost 6 months while stock-piling cash from the busy sales season for my industry(OND!). 

Instead of buying each item once a week, I would stockpile the sale item. 

Are you wanting to stockpile cash via flips and wholesaling, generate cashflow, hold for appreciation, etc? 

Other options - cash out refi to fund additional deals outside CA, shore up reserves, stockpile cash on hand & acquire more silver Eagle coins.

Unfortunately I agree w/ Joe - big corporations are stockpiling liquidity and drawing down on lines.

Stockpile the savings.
