Construction of 4 new apartments in a functionally obsolete historic building.

When you get into running new services, or re-running old and obsolete services (like plumbing, electrical, and HVAC) then you get into the situation where technically ALL of those trades should be getting permits for the work.  

They will want to keep replacing parts on an obsolete unit rather than replace. 

They may be obsolete functionally and cosmetically due to all the innovations coming in the next 30 years.

If it passes it will virtually make sfr zoning obsolete and allow for 5 story buildings to be built.

I also think eventually, mortgages will be mostly obtained through automation online and actually mortgage brokers will be obsolete. 

There’s a chimney from the basement through the roof that has 2 vent pipes for the boilers running through it, but is otherwise obsolete.

I definitely agree that tech is making jobs obsolete.

It's 2 years old, thus not obsolete.

Not only will this tampering of the free market have unintended results unforeseen, but as time goes on, and circumstances change, the government will continue to enforce these now obsolete regulations, although they will bear no relevance to the changed world.
