It's not that much $$$, but it will give you great insights into the health and condition of your drain lines - if you needed to replace your lines (either under a concrete slab or pier/beam foundation), it will take a good amount of money to get them repaired.

Put in a new support wall outside, new roof, fixed walk around porch, new HVAC system, 2 new bathrooms done in the historic style in one and not in the other, new water line,  new floors, fixed wall that was fallen 6 inches from second story to foundation, replaced termite damaged foundation beams, paint and cosmetic stuff, all new plumbing, lots more.

In other words, pretty certain the foundation work wasn't up to spec.I spoke with the foundation company that did the work today and they told me they wouldn't honor the warranty unless the inspection said it was one of their beams that failed.
