Project from H. E. Double Hockey
First off I want to say I am quite emotional today an apologize in advance for this lengthy post. I have a property in Binghamton Ny, 20 mins from the University that I am willing to let go for free. I wont lie....half of it is a dump outside full of cut lumber and shrubbery. I got screwed by an angry contractor who knocked a portion of the structure down. It's a ranch and I figured its not entirely too complicated to rebuild. My partner and I worked on this first one together from a distance with my husband, one of his friends and one of hers. We have encountered problem after problem and I am so over it. There are no tax liens or anything crazy on it- we settled all of it up last year. A water line burst over the winter while we were away and we are stuck with a bill of 3500. Why weren't we contacted? I have no clue 😂 Our realtor "accidentally" left the door unlocked and our 15k of materials were stolen. Soooooo over it. There is a support beam needed under the enclosed porch which has been approved for interior living space. We have open permits which are super easy to get approved there. All new electrical and plumbing and roofing otherwise is in place. We just can't manage the long distance construction project- guessing it just isn't for everyone. Big mistake in not getting a property manager- this one is too big for us to handle. Won it in a sight unseen auction... We were truly going at a great pace until someone got angry over a design dispute and tore down a section of the building we intended to keep. Our team hasn't recovered and we want to just give this one away and take the loss.
Approx1250 sqft, potentially 1500sqft, currently 2bedroom, 1 bath, office area, open kitchen and living, high ceilings, laminate throughout
