Unfortunately STR mixed with homeowners and families don't work well together, even in rural areas.Outside of the destination type spots for AirBNBs, I do have a few that are in very, very good areas of their respective cities.

Understand that products like this are meant to help those that are going to succeed to get to their destination faster. 

(these condos have nearly tripled in value over the last 10 yrs due to a huge part of the AirBnb trend).Here is one that just hit the market this week: https://www.redfin.com/WA/Leav...However, STR and vacation homes are NOT allowed in any of the Residential Zone Districts of the city, the multi-family zone or its Urban Growth Area.I'm from the area and personally, I like Leavenworth the best for the STR strategy because it's a true 4 season destination, there is very, very limited stay options and it's just a few hours from Seattle (no flights needed). 

Thanks to this community, we made the last two deals on 0% interest seller financing.We're coming to the US over the next few months, and I don't know where to start the RE journey on the other side of the firewall 😅 We targeted LA as a candidate destination. 

Without question the Pandemic fueled activity and mortgage rates drove investment and inventory of STR's and vacation rentals for rent up in many destination markets. 

If investors avoid these and they are never bought from the state, are they destined just sit in limbo forever?

We really do want the most bang for the buck, and we're happy to consider sleepy areas or 'up-and-coming' destinations. 

Once you get outside of those areas is where occupancy would likely be a lot lower since Pittsburgh isn't necessarily a "destination spot" compared to some other cities.
