This thread is no reminding me of the agent that didn't know there was a California Association of Realtors single offer counter-offer form.

I got a counter offer for $100,000.

I put an offer in on a foreclosure SFH, and after a couple back and forths I accepted one of their counteroffers.  

I would counter offer and push them up. 

Personally, I was surprised by her reaction, I was expecting a counteroffer.. but.. nothing yet. 

If your agent has given you a modification (or addendum) to the contract asking for your acceptance with the work already performed, then your refusal to accept the modified contract without any counteroffer should close the negotiation and void the entire agreement.  

Start there, tell her you need to "run your numbers and you'll get back to her shortly" and then develop a game plan and counter offer to a number you can make this work with.

You should accept the counter-offer because I doubt it will get any better. 

I made a counter offer of $295,000 and adjusted the numbers.

How long does it usually take to hear back from bank on their counter offer?
