Hi everyone,I’m exploring short term rentals in Ontario cottage country, within about 2-3 hours from the GTA for my first rental property.

When we are in Canada, we stay at my parents Cottage, rent free, as I work a normal job.

The nightly rates on the lake are quite varied with an average of about $350 a night and many of the cottages are 4+ bedrooms.There are some neat places for sale on the VT side of the lake.

I also might look into food delivery to make a bit more cashLooking to at a 3Bed 1.5Bath with 1Bed 1Bath cottage that I could move into and rent the 3B out to friends.

I believe I paid $20 a night and that included the owners bringing me a nice breakfast of bread, meats, cheeses, jams, soft-boiled eggs, and really good coffee.Today, short-term rentals are still popular but they're more commercialized and expensive.

Stamford is dubbed the "Queen of the Catskills" based on this history and this was one of those premiere cottage properties attached to historic lodge across the street.
