Posted this on Reddit, but would probably reach a bigger (no pun intended) audience.My Dad owns a home but has no intention on scaling his properties as he is heavily involved in his actual work as a minister.

Everybody needs to live somewhere---you can't live in a mutual fund...Real estate will always be in demand regardless of the market circumstances...God stop making land on the 7th day (unless you live near a volcano)---you can't build a house on top of your IRA...Real Estate will benefit from diminished availability (supply) as our population expands due to natural reproduction and immigrant inflex.My vote is---well, it's pretty obvious...Regards,Scott Miller
