If you own property in the U.S.A. either directly, or via your Canadian holding company, you will have to repatriate the earnings which translates into paying the withholding tax (30% in most instances) to the IRS and then paying the delta, between the amount withheld and what you would be taxed in Canada on the full earnings, to the CRA.

What I was *told* by these platforms is that they get manual info from actual vacation rental owners who use VRBO, Homeaway, etc. on revenue and occupancy, then match up that info with their AirBnB scraping to figure out what the delta is and apply that to all homes.

Downside: Chase points don't transfer over to OneWorld partners, which means that even though I'm in Atlanta I don't typically fly Delta... so for example, when flying to Europe I usually go Lufthansa which requires a transfer through Frankfurt, and when flying to Japan I tend to go through a United Hub like SFO, IAH, or something like that.

I have heard of people calling or e-mailing Delta and Moen with repair questions, request parts etc,,,and Moen and Delta just drop ships them whatever they need for any fix,,,no cost or shipping.

I would approach either a foundation company, or a GC with experience (he will use an excavation company and other labor to deal with the issue.I've had good luck in the past with a few solutions:1) First and foremost, make sure there is a swale about 5' out from the house to divert water around the house2) Make sure there is some sort of foundation drain system which daylights (on the downhill side of the house)3) Make sure there is some sort of capillary break system on the exterior of the house (Delta Dry, crushed 2b stone, etc; DO NOT rely on drylock or any of the cementatious based coatings)

Presumably the discount offered was less than the delta between bank's cost of capital and the mortgage interest rate.
