It sounds like you want to be an Entrepreneur.

Many people want a website "because you are supposed to have a website" That is moronic and that is not how successful entrepreneurs think. 

I won't speak from qualification myself here, but one of my favorite quotes I ever heard from a fairly successful entrepreneur I met was "I don't have an MBA.  

Inflation is a measurement of real (as opposed to nominal) price changes over time, but price changes are a matter of what the market can afford to pay for any given thing, housing being one of those given things.The astute real estate entrepreneur will find all sorts of ways to capitalize on real estate for themselves or their investors.  

I plan on creating systems, working my tail off until I can transition from technician to manager to entrepreneur in my business and build my own little empire out here in the bay area.

I agree with you on the daycare, but as an entrepreneur who will always have some side business going and/or bring work home, I have a hard time agreeing with a strict interpretation of this policy.
