Nightstands (you put them together), bed frames and headboards, mattresses (typically just queens - we buy better king mattresses locally), and lots of decor options just by doing a quick key word search for your location/style (for example I did a kid's room and furnished with these cool Smokey the Bear tin art works - about $30 each).

My tenants don't want to loose the free government money so they have taken very good care of my houses.Make sure your lease covers silly things like the tenant being responsible for stove drip pans and any damage the cause.John

Popcorn ceilings look pretty dated, but if you want to go even further back put up replica tin plates on the kitchen ceiling for a historic feel
