Someareas like kitchens and hallways, doors, etc. need repainting more often than others.All trim and any dingy looking walls get a good cleaning with Dirtex first.

Prices may vary by locations, but I just had a 60'' tub, 3 piece shower walls, valve, trim kit, along with completely new PVC drain stack from basement to first floor bathroom, all installed for about $3500 parts and labor. 

This Summer we are scheduled to have the facade repaired & painted (black trim).

Bought the house last August and rehabbed the main floor - new floors, new kitchen, paint and trim throughout.  

While there is some water where the trim is at the wall, that could also be from pouring water there to make it look like the source of the water.

My question is: since most lumber comes in 8’ or 10’ (sometimes 9’) lengths and since interior doors, closet doors, trim pieces, etc are also usually designed according to these more standard lengths, is it a really bad idea to have my 2nd story walls at 8’ 6” rather than the standard 8’?

Replaced the flooring, kitchen, cabinets, washrooms, trim, popcorn ceiling to knockdown, furnished the basement and landscaped.

I spent more on the rehab, as I decided to hold for myself, so ended up spending more $$ on better installation, flooring, trim, windows, etc.

My first hurdle is narrowing down on potential cities in LA to start trimming down the vast amount of cities near me.
