@Bryan Byrd  My advice is sell and take that equity, hopefully tax free if you lived in it 2 of the last 5 years, and I believe that test can be extended by 10 years for military.

@Delvon A Byrd it depends if you are doing this just to analyze a deal to make a purchase decision, or if you are actually maintaining a property that you own.

However I know probably more than 100 buy and hold investors with net worths north of a couple million.I dont point to Larry and Sergei and Zuckerberg as reasons to go into software engineering...I dont point to the Walton family as a reason to go into retail...... so why would i point to the Donald Sterlings of the world to talk to someone about what career path in real estate to take?
